Rolling Horizons (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a U.S.–based youth mountain‑biking organization that provides training programs such as Shredders and INSIGHT. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you visit rollinghorizons.org or interact with us offline.

6. Children’s privacy
Parts of our programs serve athletes under 18.
For riders under 13, we collect personal data only after obtaining verifiable parental consent in keeping with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Federal Trade Commission
Parents/guardians may review, delete, or withdraw consent at any time by e‑mailing info@rollinghorizons.org.
7. Your rights & choices
Residents of the EEA/UK may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of their data, or object to processing.
California residents have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing of personal information, and may designate an authorized agent to act on their behalf. California DOJ

8. International transfers
We host servers in the United States. When we transfer EEA/UK data to the U.S., we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and other safeguards to ensure an adequate level of protection.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary:
Program and financial records — 7 years (tax & insurance)
Marketing contacts — until you unsubscribe or 24 months of inactivity
Analytics data — 26 months (Google Analytics default)
10. Security
We follow industry best practices—including HTTPS encryption, least‑privilege staff access, and regular WordPress/plug‑in patching—to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100 % secure; you use the site at your own risk.
11. Updates to this policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by e‑mail (if you have an account) and by posting a prominent notice on our home page. Your continued use of the site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
