Accessibility Statement for Rolling Horizons

Last updated: July 15 2025

Our Commitment

Rolling Horizons is dedicated to ensuring that everyone—including people with disabilities—can access the information, programs, and services offered on rollinghorizons.org. We strive to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

What We’re Doing

  • Inclusive Design — New pages and features are built with semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, logical heading structure, and sufficient color contrast.

  • Continuous Testing — We run automated scans (axe, Lighthouse) and manual checks with keyboard‑only navigation, screen readers (NVDA/VoiceOver), and high‑contrast modes.

  • Ongoing Improvements — Staff receive periodic accessibility training, and we remediate issues discovered in audits or user feedback as quickly as practical.

  • Third‑Party Content — While we cannot control all embedded or linked content (e.g., social‑media plugins, payment gateways), we encourage vendors to follow WCAG standards and offer accessible alternatives when possible.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

Our site is designed to work with:

  • Current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)

  • Screen readers on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android

  • Browser zoom up to 200 % without loss of content or functionality

  • Keyboard‑only and switch‑device navigation
